a Gundaker grant.

Gundaker Foundation
selected two Rotary Exchange students for $2,000 Harry C.
Rosenberg Youth Exchange Scholarship. On hand to receive
her check from Rotarian Chad Rosenberg at the August 1 Gundaker
Foundation meeting (photo at left) is Rika Hoffman who is
going to Taiwan. The second scholarship winner is Casey
Young of Langhorne, who is going to spend year in Brazil
as exchange student.

Ardmore Rotarian
Ernie Falcone (left) , who was installed as president of
District 7450 Gundaker Foundation in July, was joined for
a photo at the July 1 meeting by DG Bonnie Korengel and
Glen Riddle Rotarian Harry Hill, immediate past president
of the Foundation. Falcone says the Gundaker Foundation
is "a Foundation within a Foundation" in District
7450. Gundaker has granted over $2.5 million since the '70's.
Guy Gundaker was the RI President in 1924, and a Philadelphia
Rotarian. The Foundation awards $50,000 in graduate and
undergraduate scholarships each year and gives each Rotary
Club up to $1,000 a year to support the Club’s own
projects. |

was the RI President in 1924, a prominent Philadelphia restaurateur.
Gundaker meetings are held each month, with the 53 clubs
in the district represented, each club getting up to $1,000
a year to support their own projects. The Gundaker Foundation
awards $50,000 in graduate and undergraduate scholarships
each year to students with superior grades and records of
community service. Ernie will serve as the Gundaker Foundation
President 2011-12. |

Meeting
