Paul
Osimo became a member of the Rotary Club of Havertown in January 1991,
with the classification Environmental Consultant. At the Havertown Rotary
Club he served on the Board of Directors, was Secretary, Vice President
and President. In 1998, Paul joined
the Haverford Township Rotary Sunrisers, where he currently serves on the
Board of Directors and is involved in the club's International Service
Committee.

On the
District level, Paul has been a member of the World Community Service Committee
and currently serves as the Chairman of that Committee.
Paul
has been active in International Service since joining Rotary. He served
as Team Leader of the Group Study Exchange to Northern Sweden in 1996,
and is a Paul Harris Fellow. Paul and
his wife Pat have hosted GSE
Team Members and served as mentors for an Ambassadorial Scholar from Italy.
Paul
received his undergraduate degree in Biology from St. Joseph's University
and continued his graduate studies in physiology and occupational health.
He earned a Master of Science degree in International Studies from the
University of Pennsylvania. In 1989, Paul
was a team member on an environmental mission to the Soviet Union to study
the effects of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster and other environmental problems
in eastern Europe and the USSR. The following year, Paul
was a delegate to the first US/USSR Emerging Leaders Conference, held in
Moscow, sponsored by the American Center for International Leadership.
Paul
participated in the Moscow Carelift in 199 1, which was organized by Jeff
and Linda Gloss in cooperation with Rotary Clubs in District 7500 in New
Jersey and the Rotary Club of Moscow, Russia. Operation Carelift brought
tons of critical medical equipment and supplies to Moscow hospitals during
the final days of the Soviet Union.
Paul
has traveled extensively in Eastern Europe and the countries of the former
Soviet Union as a consultant to numerous commercial and industrial clients
on health and environmental issues.
Paul
currently serves as a consultant on international medical education and
Director of Environmental Programs for Carelift International, an international
medical relief and educational organization headquartered in Bala Cynwyd.
Paul
and his wife also operate a weight management and nutritional counseling
business.
Paul
is an avid distance runner, and has completed marathons in the US and Europe.
Paul
's other activities include membership in the Delaware County Chamber of
Commerce and the Hunger Project, a global, strategic organization committed
to the sustainable end of hunger. The Osimos live in Broomall, PA.
