WILLIAMS
Alternate Assistant Governor 2002 - 2003
Rotaract Chairman
Jane Williams has been
a member of The Rotary Club of Ardmore since
August, 1993. Soon after joining
the club, she volunteered to serve on the
District Conference Committee
and since then has been an active Rotarian,
serving in all Avenues of Service,
as a Board Member, World Community
Chair, Vice President, President-Elect,
and President of the Ardmore Club in
2000-200

During her year
as President the Ardmore Club celebrated its 75 anniversary, and
to mark the
milestone, initiated a plan to make a major
gift to the Ardmore Community in Rotary's name, the
restoration of the most significant sculpture
in Ardmore, the fountain and statue at the Ardmore
Library. During that year Ardmore also
exceeded its Rotary Foundation goal by 18% and met the
challenge of growing the club membership
significantly.
Jane is employed by John P.
Williams & Company, Inc., Bryn Mawr, Pa. This 33 year-old
sales and
marketing information consulting firm
works on sales lead development projects for sales and
marketing departments of large corporations.
Jane's responsibilities include market research, project
management, and client liaison.
Jane graduated from College
Misericordia, Dallas, Pa. and has completed course work toward
an MBA
at St. Joseph's University and Villanova
University. Jane and her husband John live in Gladwyne, and
have enjoyed hosting a member from the
visiting GSE team from Thailand in 2000. Jane and John have
two children and three grandchildren.
Jane's other volunteer interests
include CONTACT CareLine for Greater Philadelphia, a crisis hotline
and reassurance social service agency,
where she served as President of the Board for two years and
continues to be an active member. She
is also a member of her church choir, an active tennis player,
gardener, and gourmet cook.

District trainer, Foundation Chair, RYLA, GSE,
Facilitator and Trainer at NE PETS, and
many other committees. District Governor 93/94, Speaker at
various meetings. Activities at Zone
include Chair of two Zone Institutes, Task Force Chair, Director
nominating committee member, Trainer
and speaker at Conferences, PETS and Foundation meetings.
International activities include
International Conventions (10), Council on Legislation, International
Training Leader (2), Train the Trainers
at International Assembly, RI Presidents Rep at various district
conferences, volunteers in Nigeria NID,
attended and participated in several Presidential Conferences
and Task Forces.
Community activities include
21 years as Chair of Redevelopment, appointments by two CT governors
to state commissions, Past president
of Chamber of Commerce, Vice Chair of CT VNA, Board
Member; College Foundation Board, Riverfront
Recapture, Greater Hartford Tourism District, Past
president Main Street Plus, Inc., Church
investment committee.
