Rotary In Completing Its Largest Fall
Literacy Campaign Ever!!

At the
November 5th club meeting of The Rotary
Club of Philadelphia, Marcia Schulman,
Project Manager of the Philadelphia High School Leadership
Project, and Dr, George P. White, Professor and the
Director for Developing Urban Educational Leaders
at the Lehigh University School of Education, reported
on the Philadelphia School District's High School
Leadership Project. The Project is aimed at preparing
experienced Philadelphia high school teachers to take
on the challenging task of principal at one of Philadelphia's
high schools. Ms. Schulman and Dr. White are shown
with books that they autographed as guest speakers.
The books will be donated to the Philadelphia Family
Court as part of The Rotary Club of Philadelphia's
literacy initiative. |
Bill
Decker, a member of The Rotary
Club of Philadelphia, and one
of approximately 135 global members of the ShelterBox
Response Team, was called into action in Mid-October
to respond to the devastation wrought by typhoon
Pepeng in a mountainous section of the north central
Philippines main island of Luzon.
