The Rotary Club of Shady Brook (Langhorne) scrubbed and power-washed playground equipment and toys for the Lower Bucks County Red Cross Homeless Shelter. Immediately following, we served root beer floats to all the residents! It was challenging to get our members to stop playing with the toys so we could wash them!

N. Philadelphia Madrugadores Rotary Club’s Rotarians at Work Day was held at the Society of Ibero Latin America Medical Professionals' Dr. Carlos Finlay Conference Saturday, April 30 at the Philadelphia Water Works. In this photo: Diana Larisgoitia, PhD; Christiaan Morssink, PhD; Edi Montijo Chapman; Jenee Chizick; Speakers Akira Kaji, PhD, UPenn Professor of Microbiology and Fred Honigman, PhD, of the Malaria Prophylaxis Initiative; Dr. Nimidia Oviedo and other attendees. Madrugadores members who volunteered earlier and not pictured were Joan Harris, Dante Sanchez and Dr. Lleras A. Samuels. The club helped raise money to assist in the eradication of Malaria in Hispaniola... and enjoyed a lovely dinner by Diana Larisgoitia at the end.
