PDGovernor
Yvette Palmer
It is with a heavy heart that I must share that we have lost
Past District Governor Yvette Palmer in her battle with leukemia.
PDG Yvette has been the most influential Rotarian in our District
in recent memory, acting as a mentor for the last six District
Governors as well as The Rotary Foundation expert and Polio
Plus champion. She has served as the General Chair of our
Multi-district PETS, Rotary Zone 32 Institute Program Chair
and the Regional Vice Chair of the Rotary Leadership Institute.
Together with PDG Bill Palmer, Yvette is a multiple Paul Harris
Fellow, Major Donor, a Rotary Foundation Benefactor and a
Bequest Society Member. Yvette has left an indelible mark
on Rotary as we in District 7430 are well aware.Yvette and
the Palmer family had requested that the progress of Yvette's
illness be held at the family level. We have respected their
wishes. On behalf of District 7430 we offer our great respect
and prayers to the Palmer family. <<<

Bill Jahn
District Governor - District 7430 |
- Joseph Centofanti
passed on. Our Club Historian
Joan Toenniessen praised Joe. "He was a true Rotarian.
He served
humanity in so many ways and never looked for notice or accolades.
He was very welcoming when I joined Rotary in those stressful
days of
opening the door to women. He had a great sense of community,
love
of family, a caring spirit and a silent strength and reassuring
smile. I
cherish the times we shared at Rotary and I feel blessed to
have felt like
we were Rotary buddies. God called a real saint for sure on
the eve of
All Saints Day. Very fitting." Joe Annarelli, a longtime
friend of his,
said a Mass @ St. Denis will be held on Monday Nov. 21st. Check
the
Philadelphia Inquirer for burial arrangements.
