DANIEL S. GUYON 
DISTRICT GOVERNOR  2002 - 2003

Dan has been a member of the Glenside Rotary Club since May 1987. He has served his club in various positions as Director for Community Service and Club Service as well as current Club Director since 1997 for the District Gundaker Foundation and co-editor of the club news bulletin for several years. 

He has served the District with three consecutive years as Assistant Governor from 1998-1999 through 2000-2001. Since 1997, he is active on the District Group Study Exchange Committee, assisting his club to host GSE Teams from the Philippines and Brazil, and interviewing candidates for our out-going GSE Teams. 

Dan is a Paul Harris Fellow and a Guy Gundaker Fellow. He received the Rotary Foundation District Service Award for 1998-1999. 

He is a graduate of Ursinus College and Stonier Graduate School of Banking at Rutgers University. He has also received certificates from the University of Chicago Installment Credit School, and the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School. 

Dan served two years active duty at the United States Army Continental Headquarters, Ft. Monroe, Virginia. He is currently retired from commercial banking as a career officer, serving in various lending and administrative positions. He maintains several professional banking affiliations as well as his membership in the United States Tennis Association. 

As Treasurer for the Unmet Needs Committee for the Abington Township flood disaster relief effort, Dan disburses funds to provide flood victim relief. This Committee's success has been a model for other groups, and recognized by the United States Congress, the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, and Abington Township. Dan is past Deacon of the First Presbyterian Church in Flourtown, and currently-Judge-of Elections for his local poll in Springfield Township, Montgomery County.

For leisure activities, Dan enjoys fishing, tennis, team sports, billiards, numismatics, American history, and travel.
