Charles E. Streitwieser
7450 Governor 2013-14

Charles joined the Pottstown Rotary Club in 1993. In 1996 he became a part of the West Chester Rotary Club, joining their Board of Directors in 1998. He has served in several capacities: Gundaker Foundation, fruit sale chair, Vocational Service chair, Club Service chair, Polio Eradication campaign chair, Foundation Committee, Task Force for Club Community Needs and New Members Mentors Committee.

Charles moved into club leadership as club vice president 2001-2002, preparing for the position as club president in 2003-2004. As club president, Charles was Founding President of the Greater West Chester Rotary Foundation 2003-2004. This foundation allows corporate sponsorships to be a major contributor to the club’s largest annual fundraiser, the Chili Cook-off.

Charles has served the district as a Gundaker Foundation Director and as co-chair of the District Foundation Fundraising Committee, receiving the 2004-2005 Rotary Foundation District Service Award for his efforts. He was chair of the District Rotary Foundation Committee 2006-2008, directing the committee’s seven subcommittees and area coordinators. He has also served as chair of the Permanent Fund for the district. Charles is a Paul Harris Fellow and member of the Paul Harris Society.

Charles served as Assistant District Governor, Area 8, 2004-2006. He received the Governors Award for Outstanding Service as Assistant Governor. He has served on the District Nominating Committee and the Ambassadorial Scholars selection committee.

Charles is a graduate of Rotary Leadership Institute and also a faculty member of RLI. He has especially enjoyed the Rotary International Conventions he has attended in Montreal, Canada and recently in New Orleans, LA.

Professionally Charles is President and Sales Manager of Morning Star Coffee Roasters. He resides with his wife Leslie and their children outside of Kennett Square, PA.
