Charles E. Streitwieser
7450 Governor 2013-14

Charles joined the Rotary in 1993 at age 26. He identifies strongly with the advantages of joining Rotary early!

As a member of the Rotary Club of West Chester, his most gratifying assignments have been to serve on his club’s Task Force for Community Needs Assessment and its New Member Mentors Committee. These efforts helped the club to grow to become the largest club in our District.

While Club President for 2003-2004, Charles was also the Founding President of the Greater West Chester Rotary Foundation. Originally established as an endowment for local and planned giving, this foundation enables corporate sponsorships to be a major contributor to the annual West Chester Rotary Chili Cook-off, which attracts an estimated 9,000 visitors to West Chester and raises more than $130,000.

In 2005, he received the Rotary Foundation District Service Award for his efforts to raise funds for the Rotary Foundation. In 2006-2008, he served as Chairman of the District Rotary Foundation Committee, directing seven subcommittees and Area Coordinators. He is a member of our District 7450 Paul Harris Society. In 2006, he received the Governors Award for Outstanding Service as Assistant Governor.

Charles is a graduate of the Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI). He now serves on the RLI Faculty, teaching seminars on Rotary best practices for districts throughout the Mid-Atlantic states.

Throughout his service, Charles has enjoyed making Rotary friends from all over the world. He hopes to travel the Rotary world more widely via attending future Rotary International conventions and while serving as an Advisor with The Rotary Foundation Cadre of Technical Advisors in its Community and Economic Development section.

In 2011, he retired as President of Morning Star Coffee, Inc. and is now pursuing his second career as a Fiduciary Advisor and Trust Officer.
