Foundation Support

GWCSR Foundation

Established to support the charitable work of Greater West Chester Sunrise Rotary Club in the local community, a member is asked to make a minimum annual contribution of $40, payable on induction and by January 1 each year. This contribution payable on induction is waived if member is inducted in October, November or December. As with the other foundations, an annual contribution of $100 toward a $1000 goal earns recognition as a GWCSR Foundation Sustaining Member. Upon meeting the $1000 commitment, that member is awarded the status of GWCSR Foundation Fellow. Contributions to this foundation must be specifically designated for the Endowment Fund and are tax deductible. Participating in any or all of these Sustaining Membership and Fellowship Programs is made easy by establishing a "payment plan" whereby a member makes weekly contributions at the club meeting.

Gundaker Foundation

This non-profit corporation of District 7450, established in 1964, recognizes the lifelong accomplishments of Guy Gundaker, one of the founders of Rotary and a charter member of the Rotary Club of Philadelphia. A charitable arm of our district, it provides matching grants for projects of clubs within the district and fully funds selected district projects. Its purposes compliment those of the Rotary Foundation. Whereas the Rotary Foundation supports strictly projects of an international scope, the Gundaker Foundation supports projects of both national and international scope in consort with clubs in District 7450. Each club is asked to contribute annually at least $5 from each member. An annual member contribution of at least $100 toward a total of $1000 earns recognition as a Guy Gundaker Sustaining Member. Upon reaching the $1000 level, that member becomes a Guy Gundaker Fellow. Contributions to the Gundaker Foundation are tax deductible.
