'Babe' Arden, our friend,
and wife of President Terry Schreep, was recently diagnosed with breast
cancer. While we do so much to help others in both our community and in
the world we must not lose sight of those closest to us. With your
help and a team of walkers and runners on May
11th 2008, the Kennett Square Rotary had
it's first walk/run (both 5k) in honor of 'Babe' to raise awareness about
breast cancer and to support education to both patients and doctors, support
medical research, and to help eradicate breast cancer worldwide.
The Pink
Babe team raised over $5,500!!
One in 8 women will be stricken
with breast cancer in their life time. Did you know that one in 8 Americans
live in California?
Walkers,
Runners & Donors needed to join our team in 2009!
