Revealing and Solving Modern-Day Slavery
The quilted wall hanging, created
with scraps from damaged dresses, was made by survivors of trafficking
and a volunteer friendship group. Its creators come from five countries,
speak even more languages (some now learning English), and represent three
Chester County Rotary clubs, three different faiths and have birthdates
spanning three decades. The quilting activity was accomplished without
a common language, skill, talent or budget, but formed the beginnings of
a special friendship.
