local initiative and looking for members from other clubs in District 7450
to join together to create a team to raise breast cancer awareness in our
district and beyond. Please show your support for a cancer that affects,
and has affected, not only our members and our loved ones, but is a global
issue more dramatically affecting the 3rd world countries due to lack of
information. Contact person is : Bronwyn Martin, ksrotary.bronwyn@gmail.com.
This is in the planning phase of raising awareness of the issue and the
power that is Rotary. Please help our district become a global leader in

'Babe' Arden, our friend,
and wife of Past President Terry Schreep, was diagnosed in 2007 with breast
cancer. While we do so much to help others in both our community and in
the world we must not lose sight of those closest to us. With your
help a team of walkers and runners on May
11th 2008, the Kennett Square Rotary had
it's first walk/run (both 5k) in honor of 'Babe' to raise awareness about
breast cancer and to support education to both patients and doctors, support
medical research, and to help eradicate breast cancer worldwide. Over
$6,000 was raised in 2008!! |

One in 8 women will be stricken
with breast cancer in their life time. Did you know that one in 8 Americans
live in California?
