Club Dues
Rotary Club of Exton-Frazer
Dues for 2004-2005 (July 1 to June 30) are $150. There is also an initiation Fee of $ 75 for new members joining.
Dues may be paid semi-annually (half). Dues are due July 1 (and Jan 1 if paying semi-annual).
A great portion of your dues goes to Rotary International for their operating expenses plus the Rotarian Magazine and also to the District 7450 for their operating expenses. The balance is left for our club operating expenses, approximately $45. Moneys raised for charity can not be used for anything but charities. No one receives any compensation for any work done.
$1 is added to the cost of breakfast which is used to fund the speakers breakfast and sometimes guests such as Exchange Students or Interact Club members. Breakfast is $8 ($1 of which is the guest/speaker fund). In addition, and optionally, some members elect to pay $10 where the extra $2 goes to Rotary Foundation or Gundaker Foundation, as you designate.
Our club, at the present, elects to work on projects to make money for our charities rather than continously put our own money into the account. For that reason, we ask all members to participate when asked in the fund rasing projects where possible.
The Board approved a $25 dues increase at the meeting May 24, 2000 to $150 as operating expenses were exceeding dues income. Meals are in addition to dues. Meals are $8.
Some of the things your dues pays for, after the RI and District assessment, are: badges, flags, pens, promotional materials, (I will list others as I either think of them or get a list).
There are optional programs that you can participate in, Rotary Foundation and Gundaker Foundation, where fees are collected to support them. There is a separate catagory on this web site relating to them.
