Vocational Service - Goals
- Sponsor or participate in a project that emphasizes to secondary school
children the importance of completing their education and encourages them
to stay in school.
- Participate in a career counseling and development project for young
people in your community.
- Sponsor a day where Rotarians bring young people to their place of
business to educate them about career opportunities.
- Offer free professional services to needy community residents using
the vocational expertise of club members.
- Demonstrate your clubs commitment to Family by providing vocational
training to mothers and fathers of lower-income families.
- Host a vocational activity day in conjunction with Rotoract and Interact
club members. Share with these young people, various vocational possibilities.
- Develop a project to improve literacy in the workplace.
- Recognize a Rotary Volunteer for his/her exemrory efforts locally or
abroad, and provide him/ her with a Rotary Volunteers Certificate of Recognition.
- Recognize one or more community members for outstanding vocational
achievements (e.g., Teacher of the Year).
- Help fund or host on international Rotary Volunteer.
- Hold a forum on ethics and the application of The Four-Way Test in
business and professional life.
- Present all new club members with a copy of the Declaration of Rotarians
in Businesses and Professions (200-EN).
