At weekly meetings, members enjoy lunch, camaraderie and informative presentations by members of our community. Speakers include police officials, scientists, activists, writers, educators, entrepreneurs, and health care givers. Topics are as diverse as nuclear power, energy deregulation, massage therapy, cholesterol risks, cardiac pacemakers, the stock market, and Meals on Wheels. Each week brings new information. The Cheltenham - Rockledge Rotary Club meets Thursdays at 12:15 pm for lunch in the Private Dining Room of the Philadelphia Protestant Home, located at 6500 Tabor Road in northeast Philadelphia.
Our club members strive for perfect attendance, making a commitment to attending at least 50% of meetings and may "make - up" meetings at other clubs, with other Rotary activities, or at an E-Club online. Our members live and/or work in the local community. Our diverse careers include the following:
Because members of the Club get to know each other, they can better understand the business, professional and cultural world in which we all live and work. Your opinion and assistance will play a significant role in the ongoing activities of the club as we strive to achieve a better world.
To involve our families we have social activities, including a swim party each summer, a corn roast in the fall, and a holiday partyin December.
